Grants and Funding

Raising funds can be a hard slog

Grant applications
Key problems often include:

  • finding a grant that fits: the criteria for eligibility or allowable expenditure can sometimes be difficult to interpret

  • it can be a challenge to convey that your project has what the grant is looking for, or to summarise a project into word-limited application forms

  • the application process can be time consuming and you may not find out why an application was unsuccessful.

I have helped numerous organisations to find relevant grant programs, provided advice on eligibility and have reviewed draft grant applications, suggesting improvements or clarifications.

Start-up and growth funding
Through my role as administrator of the Geelong Angel Investor Network, I have seen a lot of start-up businesses present their pitch, and learned the themes that were common to those that were successful. Likewise my time at National Australia Bank gave me a good insight into what banks look for when lending.

I can help you best present your story to attract funding.

Having worked along side Philippa, I have seen first hand the way Philippa observes, provides analysis and solutions and then follows up to achieve positive results.
