Businesses with clear plans perform better than those without...

The benefits of strategic planning
Do you know where your business is heading, and does that matter? A PwC survey of 700 private businesses a few years ago showed that companies with business plans performed better than those without, in terms of both growth and achieving their goals.

Having a clear and useable plan helps you to:

  • monitor progress and react accordingly

  • respond quickly to emerging trends

  • motivate existing staff and attract new employees

  • attract new funding from lenders or investors

  • prepare the business for sale, if that's what you want.

My approach
I will explore with you your long term goals, why you are in business, the short term issues you are facing and how the business is currently placed. Together we will consider the emerging trends in your market and how you might respond. Underpinning this will be the basic financial analysis that we'll need to understand your performance and potential.

You may wish to consider some of the UN's sustainable development goals in your own business planning.

One Page Plan
As a first step I will produce a one page summary plan, to allow you easily to overview and communicate the plan and to prioritise next steps.

Philippa asked all the hard questions, making Leon and I search our market position, understand our finance and resource management of our business more thoroughly than we ever have before. Thank you for your great understanding, assistance and business acumen. We look forward to continuing to work with you to achieve our business goals.
